biblu is a geo-social network that depends on location-based information to connect you with physical books that surround you in your neighborhood, at work, or on campus.
Like many other social networks, biblu enables users to connect and chat. In addition, biblu further allows users to send requests to borrow each others' books.
Because biblu is all about physical books, the only way to add your books is by scanning the book's front cover, and biblu will then identify the book and add it to your virtual shelf, the "My Books" tab.
Therefore, to function correctly, biblu needs you to grant the app the following mobile app permissions:
- Location: So biblu can identify your neighborhood, work, or campus.
- Push Notifications: So biblu can notify you when you receive borrowing requests, when other users accept your requests to borrow, or when you receive direct messages from other biblu users within your local community.
- Camera: So you can scan and add books to your library.
It is worth noticing that biblu does not need you to share the precise location of your home, office, or class on campus. Instead, when using the map, dropping location pins anywhere within your neighborhood, work area, and campus is sufficient for biblu to work.
Also, note that biblu limits push notifications only to what matters, and we vow to never use push notifications for marketing or promotional purposes.
